(Obstacles)
“When your mind, which has been tossed about by conflicting
opinions, becomes still and centred in equilibrium, then you
experience yoga”. Bhagavad Gita, 2:53
Doubt is an obstacle. If you are free from doubt when climbing
or practicing yoga, you will be strong and steady. “Yoga
practice is like an obstacle race; many obstructions are purposely
put on the way for us to pass through. They are there to make
us understand and express our own capacities. We all have that
strength, but we don’t seem to know it. We seem to need
to be challenged and tested in order to understand our own capacities.”
Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, 1:30. It is the challenge and the
obstacles that makes us feel alive! When we give 100% commitment
with no doubt in our mind to a move in climbing, we feel this
experience of equilibrium.
